"Forward To The Past", Part 2

    “Forward To The Past”
    …Part 2

These models also fascinate me, even thought the Type Demineur and Hydromax are battery operated.
The three models featured here, have all been designed and built with the Professional Forces in mind…

Really interesting to see these models all together, and was the first time that I had seen a M2 series watch up close. A treat to handle and photograph them all together as well!

    Anyway enjoy the pics.

    Military M2

    …the stunning Military M2 Pilot

The Chronograph designed to comply with military specifications…”With a diameter less than that of the Military M1 model, the M2 chronograph was designed for NATO helicopter pilots. All of its technical and functional characteristics meet German DIN industrial standards, including resistance to impact and magnetism, accuracy, water-resistance, dial crystal etc.”

Self-winding movement in a matt finish steel case.
3 counter Chronograph [60 secs, 60 mins and 12 hr counters] with 24 hr counter.
    Day and date function.
    Matt black UV treated dial.
Bi-directional rotating bezel with mins graduations in anodized aluminium.
Anti-glare acrylic (which unlike sapphire galss does not shatter upon impact into small particles which can penetrate into the mechanism and seriously damage it).
    Water resistant to 100 meters.
Screw down crown and case back.
Matt steel bracelet or leather strap.

    Type Demineur

    ...the two Type Demineur

    …Black dialled Type Demineur

“Bell & Ross have designed a watch especially for bomb squad experts whose demanding work requires spilt-second precision, reliability and performance. This model’s quartz precison, anti-magnetic case, bezel hour segments, and easy-to-read dial meet the special requirements expressed by these death-defying specialists”.

Quartz with analogue display with long lasting 7 yr battery movement.
    Matt stainless steel case.
Hours, seconds, minutes and date functions.
Uni-directional rotating bezel with 60 mins graduations.
Matt black dial with anti-UV treatment.
    Water resistance to 200 meters.
    Anti glare sapphire.
    Screwdown crown and caseback.
Matt steel bracelet, velcro or leather straps.

    …Type Demineur and Hydromax Challenger

    Hydromax

    …case back with logo

Quartz with analogue display with long lasting 7 yr battery movement.
Matt stainless steel filled with liquid silicon case, with special screw-down back, which compensates for liquid expansion due to temperature increase.
Hours, seconds, minutes and date functions.
Uni-directional rotating bezel with 60 mins graduations.
Matt black dial with anti-UV treatment.
Water resistance record holder at 11,100 meters.
    Anti glare sapphire.
    Screwdown crown and caseback.
Matt steel bracelet, velcro or leather straps.

“The Hydro Challenger was designed to withstand the most demanding deep-sea diving conditions. Hyberbaric chamber tests have proved the watch’s resistance to a pressure of 1,110 ATM, equivalentt to a depth of 11,100 meters. This amazing performance is due to a major technical innovation: the watchcase is filled with liquid silicon. This incompressionable liquid guarantees absolute water-resistance and incomparable readability. It also provides highly reliable and silent operation.”
