In anything at all, perfection is finally attained not when there is no longer anything to add, but when there is no longer anything to take away.

    Yes,

Orchard Road is the main shopping district in Singapore.

    Cheers!

I love Singapore (my wife is half Singaporean, so I have to say that ) - amongst other good things, the food is fantastic and the cultural cuisines mean you can eat Malay, Chinese, Indian, etc all in one day! If you eat at Lau Pa Sat food market, you can probably eat it all in one sitting!
I have to say that one of the most enjoyable meals we had there was at "Brotzeit", a little beer and wurst restaurant on North Bridge Road, just around the corner from Raffles Hotel - I find that after a few days of eating Asian food I have a hankering for some basic meat - Bock wurst, sauerkraut and kartoffelsalat washed down by a Paulaner weissbier, while watching the hubbub of Singapore life go by!!!

Having lived in Germany for 3 years I have a soft spot for German beer and food - after that time, it created quite a soft spot around my waist too!.....
