Real or Fake - Geneva 126

Real or fake? Geneva 126 Vintage. I like this older version better than the new BR126, so picked this up used. Buyer says can return if not satisfied and still in the paypal window if I wanted to dispute. Seems to be really good quality. Only issue is it runs about 25/30 seconds a day fast. The date in these photos seemed to get hung up that morning, but it corrected itself by noon that day and the date continues to align perfectly now.

Sorry! Hello, please, and thank you very much! I really love the look and feel of this watch.

Another quick question- I like the bracelet on this, but I like switching out different straps on my watches. I have a leather strap that would look great on on this. However, I took off the bracelet and noticed the spring bars were too close to the case to allow any other strap to be put on. How difficult would it be for a jeweler/watch repairer to drill small additional springbar holes inside the lugs a little farther from the case, so that I could mount other straps? Itwould be invisible from the outside.

    As Fatboy said, it's 100% genuine and it's a Vintage 126, not a Geneva.

The older 39mm models the lugs are short so they use curved spring bars for leather straps. When I had one of those models, I purchased these spring bars on ebay and they fit perfect - http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-x-CURVED-S...item51c79eb9c6

Most straight leather straps will conform to the curved spring bars after a while. I was able to use this BandRBands strap (http://www.bandrbands.com/20mm-class...k-leather.aspx) on mine without any issues.

    Cheers,
    Sean

Real or Fake - Geneva 126

In addition to what Sean said, you can also order OEM leather strap which are curved between the lugs.

Thanks for all the information everyone. As far as magnetization, you are probably right. I have since purchased my own demagnetizer for about $10. Now I can't imagine having an automatic watch without having one. It's just so easy. The watch is running accurately now though after service, but the date is still problematic, so it's back with B&R service center.

The curved bars turned out to be all I needed. It's interesting how much space just a slightly curved spring bar gives you. I can use regular straps now- they curve just enough with the bar. This watch looks great a thick vintage/distressed leather strap. I hope they get the date sorted out at the service center because I'm getting tired of not having the watch.

As great as the bracelet is on the watch, it just belongs on a strap like this. I love this combo.
