Focus 7 by GI José : The BRevolution

As we say in french, we always keep the best for the end… Let The BRevolution begins!!!
What is that ?! Its a complete concept.
Concept that starts with a crazy project, create a neo-retro rocket bike, called the BRocket.
From that point, Bruno was asking himself “ok we have a bike, what kind of watch would suit this incredible machine?” ----> Result : 2 watches. A BR01-94 BRocket and a BR03-90 BRocket.
Yes, you have correctly understood, this bike was the creative inspiration for those 2 watches, not the other way.

A real strong and impacting universe, a complete concept, with models very different from what we are used to, there was to much for me to resist……

Lets take a look at that……..

The basis : Concept Moto BRocket

Ok you will say Baselworld is for watches, why the #### a bike is coming here?! As said its part of the concept. It’s born from a great collaboration with the Harley specialist Shaws (they already workes together for the BR bike 2 yrs ago), and the envy to create an incredible machine that can represent the brand.
BR is intimately closed to aviation world, nothing was best than creating a Rocket Bike.

Everything is made in detail to inspire a race machine purebred and masculine, but at the same time a rocket with aerodynamic soft curves. From colors to stitching of leather, stopping by chrome parts, everything was thought twice.
We feel like coming back in the 50s, watching Rocketeer on tv, we can picture that bike going real fast on the salt lakes.
We could have hardly imagined a better way to start this strong concept, either you like the brand or not, if you had the chance to enter the booth and discover that machine you will keep in mind for sure, and trust me there was a looooot of people wanting to pose on it.

But as we are coming here to talk about watches, i just suggest you few pictures to discover the beast before starting the real subject we’re here for.

Undeniably, my favorite part is the rear fin. A real pleasure to photograph it!I

I even have time to pose on it too hihiih

Hop! Lets go. As i said, 2 watches inspired from that concept bike, limited to 500 pcs each.

    The Bell&Ross BR03-90 BRocket

The first one is based on a BR03-90 (big date and power reserve).

Despite a BR03-90 common case, we have the feeling that everything is different. The inner graduated bezel is bigger, new hands, a new strap inspired from the bike’s cushions, lets be brief we have clearly a known basis with strong details.

I told you the bike was the creative inspiration for this watch, so when talking about details, dont you think there are some strange references on here?

Bike dashboard = red marker at 12

    Air entries = pierced dial

I dont even talk about the color theme steel/grey/black/red/white that you can find either on the bike or the watch, or about the special strap using the same design as the cushions… Yes you have the same DNA on both projects.

And of course you can see it here on that wristshot

The main elemant that directly stroke me, was the pierced dial in front of the power reserve but even more in front of the date wheels. It gives a special dimension to the dial, a kind of partial “skeletonization” that i like (and im generally not a huge fan of that trend).

    The Bell&Ross BR01-94 BRocket

Her sister is based on a BR01-94 46mm chronograph.

The main idea of a global concept is still visible, with the same color theme connecting those 2 watches to the bike.
Note that we have a special red ABS pusher (also seen on the 03-94 carbon orange), a tachometryc inner bezel, and a new size of sud dials that is highlighting the chronograph minute counter.

No need to say, you like it or not, those colors and metal reflections are very cool to capture

To resume, for me this homogeneous concept creates a very interesting unity, and that permanent parralel between the 2 worlds got me. The incredbile mecanical part of that BRocket bike is so cool that i wished BR to create something even crazier, pushing the limits very far on their concept…. But who knows, its also the meaning of Revolution, Disrupt your laurels to finally enter a new world…………………….

Regarding these chronograph models, is there a constant working second hand without having to start the chronograph function or is it always stationary?

Maybe one of the sub dials is a constant working secondhand?

    Thanks.

    Thanks for this information, appreciated.

I think I once read and I could easily be mistaken that some chrono's have no secondhand counter unless chrono feature is activated. Not sure what models or even if Bell & Ross?
