The photos aren't great - especially the case back, so I am tentatively saying it looks authentic. If you can get better pictures, I would do that, just to make sure. You want to verify everything on the back is spelled correctly. Other than that, the usually signs of a fake are missing, so I think it looks good.

    Dear Joe,

Thank you very much for you time.

Yes, I concur that I have requested for a clearer caseback picture before pulling the trigger.

Hopefully it all turns out well, and I can join the BR club!

Generally if the serial number isn't 00176 for the 03-92 you're in good shape.

Nah, just the serial number that almost all knockoff 03-92s have.

Thanks for the assistance joe and sean. They are very much appreciated.

The baby is here, and im wearing it in good health. Lug angle, minute marks and serial no. Suggest an authentic piece. Beyond that, i dont have much skills to verify.

The amount of joy i got after putting it on my wrist, i'll guess it should be genuine

Now its time to go to the straps sections!

    Dear Joe, Kronofred and fatboy.

    Thanks for the welcome!

I have been on the lookout for straight straps (i.e. non-taper) for them.

While I gather that straight straps are typically no-no for BRos, it is unfortunate that the taper typically does not allow me to small wrist to fit these straps.

Further, the missus would be very happy to be able to share the watch, if it was on the straights as well.

In a bid to keep costs low for now, I will be experimenting with cheap panerai after-market straps.

Will post pictures when they're done.

    Have a good thursday!

I am sure you can get a custom strap, but that will be one wide buckle. The custom can also have extra holes. Just a thought
Talk to Aaron at combat straps, I am sure he could come up with a cool solution

Thanks for the recommendation there! His canvas straps are really beautiful! However, one of the panerai straps i've ordered have arrived. And, on the watch they go, to replace those not so convincing "alligator" straps they came with. Heres the pictures. Would definitely order from Aaron in the near future, if the itch comes back again!

It is amazing how much the tapered strap makes the look. This leaves me cold, sorry

It is funny how much different these look on the taper BR style strap. To me, that is part of the iconic feature of the watch.

That being said - there may be some non-taper straps that look good on the 03. For what its worth - the picture you posted when it first arrived, on your wrist, looks perfectly fine to me.

Another option to consider, is BandRBands.com - they have a few in extra small I believe - that may solve your problem, but keep the iconic look.
