Hi all. My name is Jeff I'm from Boston, this is my first B&R I have been on the look out for one for some time now, just never pulled the trigger. I am a big Panerai fan and have a 164 (beater), 232, and new 320 GMT.
In the past I really have only looked at the big B&R's but never really like how they sat on my wrist, I have a big wrist at just over 8" but something about the 46mm didn't sit right.
I was in Las Vegas this past weekend for a little vacation, didn't spend all that much time gambling as the girl wanted to do "outdoor activities" which was fine with me. On the last day I had a really strange run of luck on the roulette table at the Venetion, within 45 seconds I some how found myself way way up. At that point I knew it was time to color in, cash out, and get the heck out of the casino.
Sure enough the Venetion had a B&R AD and it was fate, the watch I had been on the hunt for was just waiting for me. 03-92 Military.

yes I know the strap is backwards but this way the buckle falls right where I like it on the back side of my wrist.
and a shot of the place that made it all happen:
Thank you Venetion.
I do have one question, does anyone know if the green or khaki velcro strap comes in a long? The standard size is way too small for my wrist. The AD in Vegas is checking but they didn't sound too sure.
wow that was a long first post. Anyway I've been doing lots of good reading and checking out everyone's pictures. I look forward to hopefully some additions to my new B&R passion. and again sorry for the really bad iphone pictures.

congrats Jeff this is a great watch.
I may be mistaking but i believe the green khaki should be with the watch, i n any case if you want one or if you need a larger one, you can go to Tourneau at Copley mall in Boston, ask for Janine and im sure she will do something for you.
Your story is amazing, i've been three times in Vegas last year and i always wished something like that happened to me, unfortunately i didnt earn enough to buy a new watch
Pretty happy for you, enjoy it, wear it well !!! _________________ Gudzyy

thanks yeah it's not really my luck but something just went my way on this trip.
The green khaki did come with the watch but the AD kept it to try and swap it out for a larger one. He was unsure if it came in a larger size though.
I will give them a call or my normal AD Royal Jewelers in N. Andover and see what they have to say. Thanks for the tip. |

Sweet. I will wait to hear from the Vegas AD on the khaki XL strap and I already have an order in with big sky Rob. He's been making straps for my PAM's for years now. I was actually placing an order with him as I was waiting for the red eye home, free wifi in the Vegas airport.
edit: actually just got an email from the big sky country, custom strap is shipping today. |

Great story.. I have the same... and think the black strap on the military may be the slickest strap/watch combo of any BR yet
Enjoy |

Jeff, congrats on the new watch! I hope you enjoy that watch for a long time to come. You know, I saw a B&R for the first time in Vegas, too! I had seen and read about them on the internet but never saw one in person. I was already interested, but after seeing that first one in Vegas (can't remember the casino, maybe Caesar's Palace?) I knew I needed one. Didn't buy it there, though, had to wait a little while until my trip to Florence last year! Congrats again! _________________ Seamaster Aqua Terra Chronometer

Thanks all. It hasn't left my wrist yet. Great piece. Looked at a phantom the other night at my local AD, just couldn't pull the trigger. I think it's really cool and all but really hard to read. So the thought of an un/hard to read watch didn't do it for me. _________________ BR03-92 Phantom
